CLASS NEWS HEADLINES

St. LUKE N.E.W LIFE CENTER FACEBOOK WINE TASTING ANNOUNCEMENT

The Charity and Justice Ministry at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Brighton is sponsoring a wine tasting fundraiser for St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center. The tasting will be held on Saturday, May 10th at 5:30 pm at St. Mary Magdalen, 2201 S Old US Hwy 23, Brighton, MI.

Sister Carol Weber, Director of St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center, will be giving a short presentation on the history, accomplishments and needs of the Center. Mary and Terry Fagan, former owners of The Corkscrew Wine Shop in Flint, will present some excellent wines and cheeses featuring a theme of “Great Wines for the Summer”.

The ticket price is $15. All proceeds will go to St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center.

  • Approximately 300 Families Served per month in their Food Pantry, Employment Preparation, Adult Literacy, Afterschool Tutoring, Resilient Communities and Social Enterprise Programs

  • 854 people Served in Their Free Eye Clinic

  • 6 GED’s Earned with 68 more in the program

  • Over 400 Expecting Mothers Served at Their Annual Baby Shower

  • Nearly 1000 People Assisted with Christmas

  • 130 Resilient Communities Participants

  • $ 256,241 Paid in Social Enterprise Wages to 122 Participants in the Employment Preparation Program through their Hospital Garment,

  • Pallet and Lawncare Businesses

CIVIC PARK

 REFURBISHED ST. MICHAEL SCHOOL

Photos were taken on October 14, 2018. They show the newly refurbished St. Mike's, now known as the Center For Hope. The 1953 portion of the building has been retained along with the gym and cafeteria. See the photos
